The Shell Eco-Marathon is an event in which teams from all the Americas built vehicles will get try to get the highest MPG on the Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma California. Students are fired up to build a brand new Urban Concept Vehicle to compete. The Urban Concept Vehicle must be basically road legal from safety standards to a door and cargo area to all the bells and whistles of a car that could be conceivably be a daily driver in a city setting. The Square One Network's Innovative Design Vehicle project has teams build a 24 volt electric vehicle to compete in endurance event that will be held on the autonomous testing grounds of Kettering University in Flint, Michigan. Here's a video that highlights the 2015 event.
