Kubota Engine Service
2nd year students complete the Kubota Engine Service training program. Working in pairs students test a running Kubota Z482. They will completely disassemble the motor, measure and test all components and then reassemble. They ran before and they need to run on completion.

Diesel Fuel Systems
For many years, diesel fuel systems were purely mechanical. While there were many different systems, distribution, quantity, timing and fuel shutoff were controlled strictly through mechanicalmeans without the use of electrical or electronic systems.
Mechanical Diesel Fuel System video goes over the complete fuel system.
How a Mechanical Injector Works
Early electronics controlled fuel ting and fuel shutoff, but still used mechanical injectors. Enter the electronic injector, ecms, high pressure pumps and a common rail.. The first electronic injector used a solenoid to cause injector nozzles to open and close. We could begin to minutely control when the injector operated. These were still much slower than what the ecm could change parameters.
Common rail systems
Solenoid type electronic injectors.

Turbochargers

Turbochargers help supply additional air to an engine and are driven by exhaust gases.
